Days of our lives showed a girl hiding in a stall once.... But your correct they never seem to have to go. Most of the people on the shows don't have jobs, and when they do they rarely seem to have to work...

Have you also noticed how they may have a conversation with their back to someone half looking over their shoulder! In real life I don't see people talking to each other with their back to them.
They also do a lot in one episode - they have a fight, then they have sex, then they make up, then they win the lottery - all in the space of half an hour.
I guess that since the soap is only half an hour long, All the actors must go to the toilet before the show begins!!!!! because they know they are going to be so busy doing all those other things in that half hour!
