Question: Just as I had always suspected, ever since season one's winner already had her "foot" in the business' doors...... The show is totally planting contestants on the show. Carly Smithson... AKA Carly Hennessey has already had an album out... 2001 called Ultimate High..... the whole show is a total fakery!!!!!!

i dont watch tht stupid show. never have never will. it seems so pointless and boring.

I am sure that she will be thrown out of the show because of this. They all must be unsigned singers or it wouldn't be fair to the others.
If she doesn't get thrown out then hopefully the public will not vote for her.
If you have the evidence, tell the bigwigs at the network about this. Telling a bunch of strangers on the internet isnt going to change anything.
It's not fake! Just because someone has had a record deal does NOT mean the show is fake! That just doesn't even make any sense.
The rules just say you can't currently be signed. They picked Carly because she was a good singer.

American idol isnt a fake.. yes i agree that they probably shouldnt let her on the show but im sure she probably wont even make it real far, so dont worry about it. They had alot of people who made records, and grammy's. So, i dont think its a fake.. sorry, i disagree!

There is no way they can throw her out and leave the rest of the cast there. It just so happens that more than half of the people left on American Idol have "connections" or had a record deal already. Michael John was signed to Maverick, David Archuletta won Star Search, sang on Jenny Jones (& other TV shows), and even sang for the American Idol finalists on season 1 - 7 YEARS AGO!!! No wonder the judges LOVE this guy - they have been grooming him and waiting 7 years to get him on the show.

i strongly believe Ruben Studdard and Fantasia were real. I saw her story on lifetime.
The rules are you can't currently be signed..Clearly you can't believe that she's the only contestant ever on Idol to have experience or to have been signed in the past....you may want to do some research on that....Carly Smithson aka Carly Hennessy is not currently signed.She was dropped from that label so...she's fine.....and she's talented....she deserves another chance at stardom...
