I have noticed a chill in their friendship lately too. I even told my husband that I was sad b/c they were breaking up my favoirte couple. ;-) Afterall, women (or men) come and go but best friends are forever, right?
In all seriousness, lately I've been thinking that the writers may want Jason's character out of the mob, and maybe that's why they are forcing this tension between the 2 of them, to make it clear that it's time for Jason's life should go in a seperate direction. But..that's just my opinion and pure speculation. I have nothing to base it on, except for my 20+ years of experience watching soaps. And one thing I know about soaps is that ANYTHING can happen. =)
Their friendship does seem to be falling by the wayside. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
i tell you, if both sonny and jason leave the show then it will fall by the wayside. the friendship is just falling apart.

I just checked yesterday's GH and the writers are still the Scabs Not Guzza yet.
Sonny & jason ( and carly) are Guzza's 'pets' I doubt they are going anywhere- they are probably just adding some 'conflict'
It appears that way. I blame Sonny. He is being irrational. Even when he doesn't have a family crisis like right now, he is irrational. HE needs to retire from the mob and let Jason take over or scrap the whole mob storyline completely and let Jason go back to building motorcycles.
they seem to be drifting apart...but who knows what will happen everything seems to flip flop so much lately. maybe this is the beginning of them getting out of the mob business.
They used to be like brothers and Sonny was always saying that Jason was more of a brother than Rick. But you couldn't tell that now! Sonny has been acting like an all powerful boss and Jason a flunky!
I think their friendhip is falling apart. They argue all the time and Sonny doesn't show Jason the respect he deserves. Sonny always has to be right and he takes Jason for granted. Sonny would be ruined if he didn't have Jason by his side.
