What are the general hospital writters thinking?!

Question: I mean yes I understnad the soaps are made up and stuff. But can they get the kids ages right? I mean how come a kid can go from a baby to a 15 year old girl over night.

this is what i mean

lu lu date of birth was Onscreen August 8, 1994 which would only make her 14 right?

spencer 2 years old
aged to 4 years in March 2008

Yeppers ... I noticed that too...and he looks older than 4

13? yikes.....then that would make all these guys predators..better do some serious WRITING in to them! haha

Yes,,,and STAR is supposed to just be 16...funny thing...a couple years ago she had a birthday and turned older than that! haha

Its called aging. They do it all the time to kids on soaps, one minute they are a baby and the next their walking around as teenagers or kids.

its not just GH..its all soap operas that do that. they have to age their characters to actually give them a story line. what can a child between 1 - 3 really bring to the table other than looking cute?

It's the way all the soaps have done since the very beginning. It gives writers something to do. Babies and toddlers really don't add much to the show, but teens, now they add all the drama and angst. Teen pregnancies are always a popular story. What can babies add to the story, except as a way to "break up the moment" with crying?

When Amber Tamblynn left GH in 2001 she was 18 and Wen Natalia Livingston took the role of Emily in 2003 she was 25 hmm she aged 7 years in 2.. there a soap writer for ya!!

Has to be done if they want the show to continue. They start running out of storyline and characters. It beats bringing on new ones that we could care less about!

The writers think we're too stupid too notice. They did something similar with Logan. When he first debuted he had tattoos on both shoulders, now they've disappeared.

i think that with soaps they always have to think ahead with story lines for new generations they can't wait 15 to 20 years for the kid to age. i also was watching an old interview of the person who plays lulu and she said they were originally looking for a 15 year old to play the part.
