I think she was acting fake stunned...there's no way she actually had real feelings for Bret, but she had to act like she did. I personally thought it was hilarious!

I think that she was being "shocked" just so people got a reaction, I agree that she had no feelings for Bret she just wanted to give people the reaction.
I was wondering that too, and have no theories as I don't care cuz I didn't like her anyway. She had to expect it after almost being sent home the week before anyway - it was only cuz Kristy Joe volunteered to leave that Megan got to stay. And she never had any connection to Bret anyway! Maybe she just wanted that extra minute or two of tv time, cuz that's all she cared about.
She was probably waiting for him to walk her out or something. I am soooo glad she is finally gone.

B/c she's a real actual idiot LOL - she made that "lost & confused" face throughout the entire show - still don't know why he kept her around that long anyway....
I think most of it was due to shock. I'm sure that since she went and made out with Bret before eliminations, that she was going to get her pass. She also tried to throw Jessica under the bus to Heather, so she just got concieded and thought she didn't have anything to worry about. I also think some of it was for show too. She pretty much looked psychotic to me. But, I'm sure this isn't the last we hear about Megan!
