Tonight's performances on American Idol?!
Question: What did everyone think about the performances tonight? Who do you think was the best, who do you think was worst, etc.?
I think Michael Johns and David Cook were the best. I think Kristy Lee Cook also did a nice job tonight. David A., Carly, Jason C., Sayesha, and Brooke seemed a bit off tonight. As for Chekezie, I hope he goes off next.

I started out LOVING this kid. I still feel like I wish he were my son. But he losing it, man.
I've also loved David Cook and Jason Castro.
David Cook amazes me more every week. Tonight he again proved that he is "current" and very marketable by today's standards. I just can't say enough good things about his performance tonight.
Jason Castro: I love his voice and how he doesn't over sing his songs. He has one of the purest voices I've heard in a long time. The kind of voice which becomes a classic because of its [seemingly] simplistic effort. Of course, that is only because it is eminating from a great source of talent. I'm reminded of pure voices like James Taylor, Anne Murray, Carly Simon, and some of Linda Ronstadt, Art Garfunkle. NOT that his voice sounds like theres.....but rather the fact that the sounds are unpretentious. I don't know how else to explain it. I've grown tired of over sung songs with more rolls in a single note than a bag of buns. Know what I mean? I'm just not into that.
Michael Johns. God, he's just so sexy. He's got the kind of raw sex appeal that so many other great rockers had: Jim Morrison (the Doors), Michael Hutchence (INXS), and Mick Jagger (the Rolling Stones). That isn't to say that he or any of the other guys are "my kind of man" but even so, they reak of sexuality, and in the music industry that is always a big boost. Vocally, he doesn't always hit all the notes, but I still enjoy his performances.
Of the females: Carly Smithson gave the only performance that would possibly convince me to buy her music. And I don't know why Randy always seems to try to persuade her to stay away from Rock. I think she rocks well and it suits her look, too.
Who should go home? Based on my personal taste rather than actual voice quality: Chikezie. He said he wanted to stay true to who he was rather than continue doing songs like he did the past two weeks (or words to that effect). You know...funny thing is the only time I like him was the past two weeks. I was never really a fan of Luther Vandross albeit his tallent. Just not my kind of music. Chikezie seems to favor that style of music....so bye bye Chikezie (as far as I'm concerned)
I hope Ramiele and Chikezie go. They are the weakest.
I LOVED DAVID COOK'S PERFORMANCE! Best performance ever by a longshot.

In order Carly, David Cook, Michael, Jason, In order, I hope that Kristy Ramiele Syesha and Brooke are voted off before all the rest. Just my opinion.
I thought Brooke did well, she just seemed to get off cue with the guitar player. David A's song was awful...sorry. Kristy Lee Cook sang ok, but she's just a horrible performer. She always looks so uncomfortable on stage, and I think she picked that song just so people wouldn't vote her off. I think she thinks people will have trouble not voting for her because of the patriotic song. She doesn't deserve to be there, she knows she doesn't and it's time for her to go. Chekezie was alright, but he has more talent than Kristy. She's never had a good performance since her "Amazing Grace" that barely got her through Hollywood week.

and i agree with you: mj and dc shone brightly tonight. i think syesha is severely underrated. i don't know why people hate her so much. she's got powerhouse vocals. i usually dislike carly, but i loved the song she performed and it got me to like her. jason will forever be a favorite of mine! ramiele's... blah. chikezie didn't do as well as he could have. kristy stinks, as does brooke.
i like the last guy's and syesha's performances the best. i just like singing along to david a's song. i actually thought brooke messed up on her performance. i think kristy tried to play it safe this week.
Michael Johns was the best and the wurst would either be chikizee or jason. Some of the performances were rather ticked off.

so definitely johns and cook were the BEST. david archuleta was in there too. i hate to admit it but kristy did good. but i wish she would go home. the rest were all rite. but my bottom two choices are: jason and chikezie. ramiele is great so i hope she doesnt go home.
