General Hospital fans? Is michael going to die?!
Question: OK i saw a commerical for a soap opera digest, and i swore i heard where sonny and carley's son michael will die from this gunshot to the head. has anyone heard if he is really leaving the show and if he is dying. they said his contract was up i was just wondering.

well i just got the soap opera digest and read through it.. and it seems like they are just going to keep him in a coma for around 6 months to a year most likely.
heres the whole problem:
theyve been wanting to age michael.. but doing so would mean they would also have to age carly and sonny because they are his parents. but the writers didnt want to do that. i guess now they pretty much have to age him.. whether due to contract negotiations with his actor or for the purpose of using the coma as a way of bringing in a new and older michael.
the actor for michael has been unhappy playing such a young character for so long when he's much older. ive heard for that reason he wanted to leave. however, if they use the coma to age michael there are two possibilities.
one - the actor will stay and be happy with playing an older age
or
two - they will get a new character to play the older michael

Michael is supposed to go into a coma and wake up eventually but not for at least 6 months - 1 year. The reason for this is because they want to age Michael and they needed a way to get him out of the picture for a while so it doesn't look like he just magically became a teenager.
No! Michael is not going to die. He is going to be in a coma for a while. But - when he wakes up - a new actor will resume the character of Michael. They are going to be aging the character of Michael. Rapid aging soap syndrome. Michael will probably be coming back as a 13 or 14 years of age.

No he will be comatose and then played by a new actor, older than Michael is now. He is bein SORAS.
He will be in a coma for awhile and come back aged a few years. They will tell Carly and Sonny that he will never wake up. Carly will blame Sonny and keep him from seeing Michael and Morgan. It will get messy but Michael will eventually wake up.
I heard a rumor that he will be played by Jesse Sofer who just left ATWT where he played Will. He is a great actor!
i dont read the mags and i try not to read spoilers so i dont know if he will die. i really really hope he doesnt. today was so sad.
Michael is going to go into a coma. Rumor has it he will awaken as a new actor because Dylan's contract is up.
No, Michael isn't going to die but will be in a very long coma and wake up again when he's a teenager, Dylan Cash probably will be replaced by another actor.
