I was just wondering what are their pay cycles!? I know they get paid when the season is over but I dont know how long the seasons are!.

The season vary by type of crab and area being fished!. Some are as short as three weeks and some are year round!. I think the show is refereing to the seasons in the Bering Sea that last about three months!. That is the only season in that area for King Crab (Blue and Red)!. The crabbers then move on to opilio (snow crab)!. That season lasts about six months, but they don't make as much!.

The owners of the boats make the most money (like any company)!. The workers are paid based on a lot of criteria (experience, size of catch, market prices, specific on board job function, etc)Www@Enter-QA@Com

they get paid by there catch and how fast they can get out there and catch more crab!. Like if there catch is $200K they divided it between them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i've been trying to figure this out!. i'm pretty sure king crap season is either 2 or 3 months long!. it starts in October and i'm pretty sure it ends in december!. then opelio season starts in january!. those are the only seasons featured on the show!. but we've learned, like on the last episod, some boats also catch brown crab!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
