Question: American Idol: Breakdown!! (yes, the original and best;-)!?
Last night on AI, it was all about the up-beat, America loving songs of Neil Diamond –I’m not ashamed to say I was actually looking forward to this!
David Cook was my favorite night with both his songs!. Noone else took the task of making the song their own, and something you could actually hear on the radio right now!.
Brooke White…!.ugh, this hurts me to say cause I like the girl, but the first song was painful –I couldn’t even look at her while she was performing, flashes of Shrek kept dangling in my head!. But her second song was a LOT better
Jason Castro is just going through the motions, can’t you tell!? His demeanor, his lackluster vocals, it’s just the same!. I’m not saying he was horrible, but he’s not progressing either!. He’s just…there!.
David A!. You fill this one in, I’m tired of talking about him!.
Syesha has a great voice no doubt, but I feel like I heard it before!. She gave two “good” performances, but not memorable!.

I, too, am a fan of light rock king Neil Diamond!. I just wish someone would have sung Kentucky Woman!
Ditto to David Cook!. He was terrific as usual particularly his second song!. The man will get a contract win or not and maybe even surpass Daughtry's sales record!. I truly hope he wins, though!

Jason Castro just about put me to sleep!. That may be what caused Paula's faux paux, too! :o) I agree with you and the judges that said if he wants to stay he needs to step it up!. It may be too late!. His eyes can't get him through forever!.
David Archuleta!. I love his voice and he will get a contract and probably be in the top 2!. I think he needs guidance!. He is a great singer but not a great performer!. I liked him last night but not as much as the judges!. His voice broke for gosh sakes in the middle of "America"!. Am I the only one who heard it!? But, because I want him to be top 2 with Cook I voted for him 107 times hoping upon hope to counteract some of Castro's voters!.!.
Syesha bores me, too!. But she, at least has some decent talent!. I really think she is more suited to Broadway and I think with her above average but not great voice and her acting ability she would be a big hit there a la Fantasia!. Her hair extensions were VERY strange, though!. And, for weeks I really wanted her gone but now I am thinking Top 3 for her!.
So, I thought the Davids were great and the rest average except Jason who I thought was WAY below average for this stage in the game!. Imagine if Michael or Carly were still there!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I liked David Cook and Syesha!. They seem more like American Idols; they are energetic and the music is upbeat!. Brooke White was boring and drab, as usual!. Jason Castro is a cutie but that wow factor is not there!. David A always seems like he is frightened when he sings; he just needs to grow up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This season of AI blows!! David Cook is the only person who I look forward to seeing!. They could tell him to sing the theme to "Sesame Street" and he would rock it out and make it his own!. He's excellent!!

I think its time for Jason to head home, should have happened 2-3 weeks ago!. He does nothing for me, just sings the songs without adding anything to them!. In the words of Simon, many of his performances seem like they belong on a cruise ship or wedding reception!.

Brooke's version of "I am I said" was terrible!. You can tell the song was very close to Neil Diamond's heart when he wrote it!. There's a lot of angst and emotion in it!. That's why he suggested she sing Arizona instead of New York!. She didn't do it justice!. She should have belted it out!.

Well personally I wish it was David A!. going home - I can't stand that kid at all!!! Everything he does sounds the bloody same! And I have no idea why the judges like him so much!. If I'm going to get 100 thumbs down for that, whatever!.

I was looking forward too because Neil Diamond has a great songbook!. Personally I thought Syesha sang the best last night!. She switched it up nicely and her voice was almost flawless!. Cook was decent on the first number but definitely blew it out of the box on the 2nd!. Brooke was a disaster on the first, she looked like she was in agony!. She did much better on the 2nd one!. Archuleta's vocals were very good but he was lacking charisma, especially on the America number!. He should have done better with that song!. Jason was just plain horrible!. No emotion, no feeling, no attachment with the song!.
