Question: Fern Britton cheating weight loss!?
What do you think about Fern Britton decieving us about her weight loss!? She has told us it was by excersise and carefull eating and with a Husband who is a chef this should be no problem!.BUT she forget to mention the Gastrick Band!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I always liked Fern Britton and still do although I'm really disappointed by this story!. I'm fat myself, always on a diet, and for me she was a great inspiration!. Especially when you watch this morning and in the beginning they still have all those pictures of her being bigger and then you see how much weight she lost and how nice she looks now!. Having an operation to lose weight is nothing to be ashamed of, but to have the world thinking if Fern can do it, then so can I when it was (mostly down to the gastric bypass and not diet and exercise) is cheating and not very nice at all!.
I don't normally care hwt celebrities do, but I think because she seemed to be so normal, down to earth and "one of us" that it does feel like a betrayal that she lied to so many people on an issue that dominates so many people's lives!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it's because she was seen as a role model so that women didn't feel they had to be skinny to be successful!. Admitting she had an operation to have a band would be telling women they would have to have a major operation, even if they're clever, attractive and have a nice personality!.

What makes her different form other celebs who are determined to spend as much of their lives in the public eye (see one Katie Price) is that she is a presenter, not a performer!.

I was horrified to see how the News of the World had reported it, like she is deceitful and a liar!. At the end of the day she has been big for years so this was obviously a last resort for her and I am sure she has tried every diet going like the rest of us fatties!. Luckily she is very likeable and her appeal has never been affected by size and I'm sure her popularity wont wane now in spite of this fuss!.

Who cares!? People who lose that much weight so drastically don't usually do it by diet and exercise!. And besides, if I did care, I'd think she looks awful with all that flabby skin around her neck!. People who lose weight too quickly generally look awful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I know! I was surprised!. But I have a friend who has a gastric band and you still have to work at loosing weight - I dont think she cheated - but just got a little help along the way!.!.!.!. I like her and she looks fabulous now!Www@Enter-QA@Com
