In the show, they make fun of themselves, saying they are like the honey-mooners, a mysogynistic old tv show!. but if you ask me, its pretty standard for alot of american shows to be plotted around the hijinks of an american family;

its a cartoon a regular sitcom will never be the same-- humans cant do the same things as cartoons!
