Good question, I was wondering that myself!.
He must have overheard Devon's Aunt & cousin talk about where they were going to stay tonight and figured out by the conversation that they couldn't afford to stay at a hotel, but I don't understand why he is helping them!.
Maybe he's just trying to be nice to them because Devon is Lilly's brother, and he would do anything for Lilly, but it seems kind of strange to me that he wants to keep it a secret!.
I would think he would want Lilly to know!.
