If you're not using professional equipment, production crew and actors and are privately producing the series, don't bother trying to submit it to a studio or network unless it's a local public access channel!. Studios and networks and producers will not even look at unsolicited material!.
You would be better off submitting it to an agent, but agencies would very much prefer a script instead of an amateur production!. Thus my advice is not to film it yourself unless you are looking to go the public access route!.
Otherwise write up a spec script (unless you're extremely confident that your script is distinguishable from the hundreds also competing for a producer's eyes, I'd highly recommend writing several)!. Then register it in the WGAw or WGAe (depending on where you are geographically located) to protect your work from infringement, and start shopping it around for agents to represent you and your script(s)!.
The agent is essential for an open market script as they will be the ones with the industry contacts and will be your best chance of bringing your series to production!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
