This requires video editing software (Windows XP and Vista come with Windows Movie Maker and Macs have iMovie; both are basic video editors)!.!.!.there is also VirtualDub, a freeware video editor that does the same job!.
You will also need video converter software (there are a few good ones that are freeware and a couple are online) as the video file that DVDs use (!.vob) will not work on these video editors and therefore need to be converted to a format that will work with these editors (mainly MPEG2, !.wma and !.avi formats; WMM is notorious with problems handling !.avi files and anything done with the DiVX codec; VirtualDub only works with !.avi files)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

First you need to have the right software and hardware to have your television broadcast record in a digital medium!. Maybe DVD-R machines recorded directly off the television!. In the more recent years, televisions have been able to be hooked up to computers and computers have been able to receive new boards inside that accept broadcasting mediums!.

I think it takes a special piece of software!. First you record the show from a DVD (movies) or from broadcast to a DVD, and go from there, but I don't know what equipment you use for making the cuts!. Wish I did!Www@Enter-QA@Com
