I thought that was kinda strange myself when Monica apologized for him wearing a hat!. But, maybe it is true that it's doctors orders!. I don't know why they would write something like that in the script for no reason, unless they are getting ready to kill him off!. He'll catch cold and die!. All the Quartermaine's are dying off!.
