Is The Bachelor a worthwhile experience, or just good TV?!

Question: Is The Bachelor a worthwhile experience, or just good TV!?
I've been thinking about shows like The Bachelor, which are attempts at creating a quality relationship and marriage (unlike the garbage on MTV and the like)!.

But still, do you think that the Bachelor/Bachelorette is really a good idea for people searching for love!? I mean, here are 25 people, and you choose a spouse only out of that group!. But every season, only a handful are "good" candidates for even a relationship, let alone marriage!.

My question for all of you is, would you want to go on a show and be given 25 prospective people to marry and HAVE to choose one!? Or would you rather find a spouse on your own terms!? Is a show like that really capable of setting you up with "the one"!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
When you look back on the history of the show there is only one couple who are actually still together and that it Trista and Ryan from the first Bachelorette!. The rest of the couples have fallen apart usually well before the last show airs!. My probelm with these types of shows, is the lengths that women will go to, to degrade, humiliate and cheapen themselves for someone that just isn't worth losing their dignity over!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's a reality show!. Nobody is really "themselves" on any of these shows, especially when there's prize money at stake!. To answer all your questions (especially the last one), look at the track record of "romances" and marriages that took place on most of these shows!. How many do you know of that have actually lasted longer than a year!? A few months!? A few WEEKS!? You can count them on one hand!.

Anyone who is seriously thinking about going on one of these shows to find "THE ONE" doesn't have a clue!. Reality TV is about what makes good TV, not good relationships!. And the more drama, the better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would like to find a spouse on my own terms!.

I don't think such shows can allow people to find their "one true love"!. It's only for good TV, as you said it!. The people searching for love on that show, like this season's Jason, only go in there to become famous although they wouldn't admit it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think there is always a possibility to meet "the one"!. Maybe Jason is in a different position with having a little boy, that he doesn't go to places to meet a girl!. Many of them could be sent home the first night - they have a lot of air heads!. My opinion!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

i don't think it is!.
people need to find love in a real, natural way!.
you can't just have a ton of girls dating a guy and have a guy choose which girl he likes best!.
it's all a competition!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. People don't go onto those shows to fall in love, anyways!.

How often does it actually happen!? Once ever, maybe!?

It's a farce, and we're stupid enough to watch it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the women are just in it for the fame and money from being on television!. Although, I could be wrong!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

neither, and noWww@Enter-QA@Com

personally I think that show is a big setup but that's just my thoughts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
